I'm an associate professor (equivalent to reader in the British system) in computer science in the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (SEAT) at Massey University in Palmerston North, New Zealand. I have a degree in maths from Oxford University (graduated 1998) and a PhD from Manchester University, which I was awarded in 2002. After various postdoc positions I moved to Massey University in Palmerston North in 2004 to work as a lecturer. My research interests are in mathematical computing, principally shape spaces, Euler equations, machine learning, and algorithms.
