    Massey University Awards - There are over 100 named awards and scholarships that can be used to support postgraduate study. In particular, each year Massey University offers a number of Masterate Scholarships and Doctoral Scholarships

    NZVCC Awards - New Zealand Vice Chancellors' Committeee administers a number of postgraduate scholarships.

    Technology New Zealand - Technology New Zealand allocates funds to encourage greater research, development and innovation in New Zealand industry, and to encourage industries to upgrade their Human Resource capability by:

    Technology for Industry Fellowships (TIF) (formerly known as GRIF). TIF scholarships are available for technology based projects involving a university and industrial partner. Technology New Zealand provides student scholarship funding for up to three years. Applications by an industrial company to Technology New Zealand can be made at any time. Students interested in investigating TIF opportunities should contact ITE. A number of approved TIF projects requiring student applicants are available. A condition of a TIF is that the student spends at least 50% of their time at the industrial site and that they are not already an employee of the industrial sponsor.

    Bright Futures Scholarships (MoRST) - Bright Futures Scholarships are available for full-time postgraduate students whose programme of work contains a significant research component. There are three Bright Future Scholarships available:
    Top-Achiever Doctoral Scholarships - Provides an annual stipend, costs for conference attendance, and course fees.
    Enterprise Scholarships
    Enterprise Skills/Technologies Scholarships

    Industry Sponsors - In some cases the industry sponsor provides funding to support a student's stipend.

    Overseas Students - Often the above scholarships are not available to non-New Zealand residents. However, the New Zealand Government, via Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, offers scholarships to selected students from South Pacific and other developing countries.     Project Costs - For most postgraduate projects within SEAT, an industrial sponsor provides funding for other project costs such as consumables and travel associated with the project
