Special Issue On

Intelligent Decision Support Systems and Their Applications in Business and Education in Australasia

Guest Editors: Dr. Ruili Wang and A/Prof. W. L. Xu 

Intelligent Decision Support Systems have become increasingly popular in many fields.  New generation systems now outperform the previous systems by adopting innovative AI techniques.    

The goal of this special issue is to provide a snapshot of the current research activities and progress in Intelligent Decision Support Systems in business and education in Australasia. The emphasis of this special issue is on publishing papers that demonstrate original and non-trivial works in all areas of intelligent decision support systems with applications in business and education. 

The topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

· Applications of Knowledge Based Systems · Advanced Applications of Fuzzy Logic · Advanced Applications of Neural Networks · Bayesian Networks · Coordination in Multi-Agent Systems · Case-Based Reasoning Systems · Data Mining and Knowledge Discovery · Evolutionary and Genetic Programming · Intelligent Agents

· Intelligent Tutoring Systems · Knowledge Management · Natural Language Interfaces to Intelligent Systems · Group Decision Support Systems · Verification and Validation of Intelligent  Systems

All submissions will be anonymously evaluated by at least two reviewers and a decision of selection for publication will be made based on the reviewers' recommendation.  Only electronic submissions in PDF are acceptable for reviewing purposes, and final submission of those selected papers will be in the format required by the publisher (www.inderscience.com/editorialnotes.html).  Please email your paper to the guest editors:

Notification of acceptance: 1 November 2005

Submission of final and revised manuscripts: 1 December 2005
