
As of 1 January 2008, the Institute of Information Sciences and Technology (IIST) Palmerston North and Wellington have merged with the Institute of Technology and Engineering (ITE) and School of Engineering and Technology (SET) to become the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (SEAT).
The Statistics group of IIST has moved to the Institute of Fundamental Sciences (IFS).
